Festival of Hope

Arts, Beats & Eats is trying to make a difference in our region. Adding festival of hope as a bi-line does not mean we are a community savior, only that there are ways we are trying to show some meaningful impact and optimism with our festival.  The following are ways we are showing hope, collaboration and optimism:

Donations for festival survival and community non-profits
Our new $2 admission fee is critical to festival operations and programming.       This fee will be shared with thirteen worthy non-profits.  With donations down and requests for help rising, these community organizations need your support more than ever.

These non-profits are:
The Arthritis Foundation, Southeast Michigan Chapter
American Red Cross, Southeast Michigan Chapter
The Children's Center of Detroit
March of Dimes
Lighthouse of Oakland County
The Children's Miracle Network/Hope Center
JARC
Goodwill Industries
Gleaners
Volunteers of America
The Rainbow Connection
Detroit Public Television
The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit

Supporting the Big Three
Arts, Beats & Eats along with Local 4, ITC and WWJ are donating space to the Big Three for special exhibits and sponsorship exposure. We will feature and promote the Big Three to promote Detroits Auto Industry in a tough climate.

Positive impact and publicity for downtown Pontiac.
The festival supports Pontiacs downtown and brings positive publicity and economic impact to a downtown that despite significant challenges has huge potential and endless opportunities. The festival showcases an outstanding recently developed city streetscape, a new concert venue in the Phoenix Plaza and cool new venues like the Crofoot.

Environmental stewardship with our ITC Greenways presentation.
Significant exhibit space is donated to local environmentally focused non-profits courtesy of ITC Holdings, as well as positive earth friendly practices by the festival to reduce the impact of the waste we create.

Culture, Diversity, Quality of life
Showcasing Arts and culture, offering activities and events for all members of our community with a variety of tastes, and getting together with family and friends for great entertainment at a low cost.

Survival
We dont take it lightly that we actually made the festival happen and shine under some tough circumstances. We thank our vendors and staff for taking a cut in income and we thank the sponsors that were able to stick with us despite the tough times.  By finding a way to survive and thrive without a title sponsor. We look to continue to deliver great times, culture and entertainment values to residents of the region.
